Shared Histories will engage communities on both sides of the border in creative activity bringing them together to explore their heritage and to share experiences. Utilising photography’s unique ability to unlock our shared past, participants will collectively explore representations of the borderlands through co-curated research into the National Library of Ireland's photo archive and contemporary collections. Regional Cultural Centre, the Nerve Centre and Photo Museum Ireland will support participants to record their stories, learn digital archiving skills, explore latest digital AR creativity, build new sustainable photographic archives, co-curate public events and develop a network of sustainable relationships. A commissioned artist will work with the participants to develop a public art programme of events and exhibitions.
