Sightless Cinema Meath
Sightless Cinema aims to empower people with sight loss as artistic collaborators and creators in the medium of audio theatre. The project has proved an excellent platform for personal development and social inclusion, while also raising awareness of sight loss in the broader community.
This Meath project is a follow on from a successful Meath Arts Office, Sightless Cinema, Solstice Arts Centre and Navan NCBI pilot carried out during lockdown 2020 and continued in 2021, 2022 & 2023. Lead artist Ciarán Taylor will work with blind and visually impaired participants to explore, devise, perform record and present new audio drama over a five - six-month period. The project is supported by Meath Arts Office and Solstice Arts Centre.
