Sightless Cinema Meath
Sightless Cinema aims to empower people with sight loss as artistic collaborators and creators in the medium of audio theatre. The project has proved an excellent platform for personal development and social inclusion, while also raising awareness of sight loss in the broader community. Radio offers a unique intimacy between the maker and the listener. This Meath project is a follow on from a successful Meath Arts Office, Sightless Cinema, Solstice Arts Centre and Navan NCBI pilot carried out during lockdown 2020. Lead artist Ciarán Taylor will work with blind and visually impaired participants to explore, devise, perform record and present new radio drama over a five - six month period. The project is co-funded by Meath Arts Office.
