The Sing for Joy Choir is a group of over 50 persons with special needs. The choir provides a relaxed, inclusive and stress-free environment for people with intellectual and physical disabilities or mental health issues.

The choir aims to promote wellbeing through music, song and dance and meets every Wednesday at St. Mary's Hall, Portlaoise. The choir celebrates abilities and disabilities in an inclusive, safe and confidence-building environment. 

With funding from the Creative Ireland Programme, the organisers can secure a tutor and premises meaning the choir can continue its immensely important service to those who are benefitting hugely from their participation.
