Fáilte isteach to Snáthaid Snaithe, the Needle and Thread, a new storytelling adventure in which Michael McCaughan, a former Latin American correspondent for the Irish Times, roams near and far as he recounts scéalta and eachtraí, stories and adventures from a life on the road and other encounters nearer home.

The music selection comes from his own large collection, a soundtrack spanning six decades, from trad to jazz, punk, rock and anything found in a stall along Bogota’s 19th Avenue.

Prepare to be surprised, tune in to music from County Clare, Colombia and beyond as McCaughan takes you on a journey.

The show lasts 60 minutes, an equal mix of ceol and scéalta and afterwards, a further 20 minutes devoted to a Q and A seisiún that knows no borders, an opportunity to cast your own cloch into the waters.
