A year-long residency programme delivered through the RCC Sound Studios in 2026, supporting three artists whose practices sit at the intersection of art, sound and technology. The project will provide time, space and technical resources for artists to experiment with sound-based practices that engage digital tools, coding, data, analogue technologies and interactive systems.

Sinead Kennedy’s residency will interrogate the housing crisis in Ireland by focusing on the sonification of environmental data, using sensors, analogue synthesisers and DIY circuitry to translate changes in mould growth, temperature and humidity into evolving sound works that explore the relationship between domestic environments, ecological systems and sound technology

Candice Nembhard’s residency will develop DE:CODING GRIEF, an immersive sound project that uses live coding, archival audio, field recordings and digital mixing processes to explore bereavement as a communal and embodied experience through technology-driven sound practices.

Patrick McGlynn’s residency will build on his established practice of creating interactive video game-like generative sound systems, using creative coding, custom-built digital instruments and browser-based technologies to design playful, accessible sonic environments that respond to user interaction and real-time systems .
