The Art of Breastfeeding explores the aesthetics of breastfeeding as a culture in Clare. There is an art to this most personal act of hospitality, these precious moments spent turned inward towards baby are what breastfeeding mothers will capture through discussion, sharing of stories and art making. A series of events will take place during National Breastfeeding Week:  2 - 7 October, in partnership with Breastfeeding Friendly Clare. 

Breastfeeding Friendly Storytelling. Join us at the Community Hub in Killaloe Ballina Family Resource Centre for a free storytelling event for children. Expectant mothers and breastfeeding mothers can relax and enjoy refreshments, chat about breastfeeding supports while their children enjoy a free storytelling session.  

Art Workshop Liquid Gold with Maeve Collins: join artist Maeve Collins in a breastfeeding friendly art workshop where you can create art about the experience of breastfeeding and motherhood. Enjoy a photographic exhibition by Myriam Riand at the same time. Nutrition advice available on the day. North West Clare Family Resource Centre, Ennistymon.
