‘The People’s Garden’ is a new creative arts project with artist Aoife Barrett and the Clonoulty Tidy Villages group. This 8-week project takes the form of an artist in residence in the village of Clonoulty, from June - August 2022 and aims to explore the potential of the community garden and outdoor spaces to bring people together and create opportunities for community dialogue.
The People’s Garden builds on the artist’s recent travelling print studio project ‘Print Van Go’ by bringing the pop-up studio space to this rural community for an extended period of time. For the duration of the project, Print Van Go will take up a more permanent residence in the village of Clonoulty and invite people in the area to come make and share together.
Residents of Clonoulty are invited to join us for tea and refreshments, creative activities and conversations at the new community garden space on Priest’s Road, Tuesday mornings, 21st/28th June, 5th/12th July, 11am-1pm, to discuss the long term plan and development of this new community social space.
For more information or to see how you might get involved join us at the new community garden space, Priest’s Road, Clonoulty or email/ message:firstname.lastname@example.org
