Join in the fun at the Westside Arts Festival which takes places in Galway City from Wednesday 13th to Saturday 16th July 2022.

The Westside Arts Festival is an annual celebration of creativity in the community in the Westside of Galway City. It brings together artistic talents from all over the world along with many great events and workshops to take part in. The theme for the festival this year is ‘Flights of Fancy’ which is illustrated in the festival poster which carries an image of a colourful handmade kite soaring high in a Galway summer sky. The idea behind the festival theme is about having a fun and uplifting concept where imagination is encouraged to run wild, where the sky is the limit and where creativity abounds. The festival has even invited kite makers from Japan to work with local creatives to deliver a series of kite making workshops and also a kite flying demonstration as part of this year’s festivities.
