What if instead of constantly looking to the Earth for resources we looked to it for inspiration to create ART and gave a little back to our communities?

Words for Mother E-ART-H – Poetry and Pottery is a project that will inspire creativity through three workshops, two on Nature Writing and one on Ceramics. 

8-10 participants will come together in April to take part in the project. 

The group will partake in two Nature Writing workshops, one each with poets Niamh Twomey and Kerri Ní Dochartaigh.   

Following on from this ceramic artist Eibhlín Dunne, (Oak House Ceramics) will guide the participants through a workshop to create ceramic tiles incorporating words and images from the writer’s workshop. 

At the end of the project it is envisaged that the participants will have written a poem inspired by nature and created a ceramic artwork to keep. 

The project will conclude at the Mountshannon Arts Festival with a poetry reading and display of artwork by the participants. 

Final event is at Anitas Store, Mountshannon, Co. Clare  (Beside Keane’s Bar) V94 YAC1 on Bank Holiday Monday June 2nd 2025.
