Developed through workshops held throughout the year in Kinsale and Bandon, The Play’s The Thing is a deeply collaborative community theatre project exploring storytelling, migration, memory and cultural exchange. Presented as a special pre-festival event, the work reflects the evolving and responsive nature of working creatively across languages, cultures and lived experiences.

Wild Productions presents The Play’s The Thing — a vibrant performance of multicultural tales directed by Belinda Wild.

An international cast brings together stories gathered during weekly workshops since September 2025, using multilingual dialogue, masks, puppetry, music, song and dance to create a visually rich and joyful theatrical experience accessible to all audiences.

Presented in association with Kinsale Arts Weekend, Creative Bandon and the West Cork Development Partnership Programme, with generous support from Creative Ireland.
